Adjusting speaker levels

You can adjust the volume output of your Lifestyle® system speakers by using your system display. This can also be viewed on your TV if it is on with the correct video input selected.

Changing the speaker mode

To change the speaker mode, follow these steps:

Note: If the CD/DVD source is selected, a CD or DVD must be in the system.

From the system display:
 

The system must be playing audio

on the lifestyle® system remote, press settings

press the down arrow to highlight the speaker mode

press the right arrow, and then the up arrow or down arrow to change the number of speakers playing to 2, 3 or 5

press enter to select, and then exit to leave the menu

Adjusting the center-channel speaker level

Dialog is mainly produced by the center-channel speaker in a surround sound system. If voices are hard to hear, raising the volume of the center-channel may help.

To adjust the center-channel speaker level, follow these steps:

From the system display:
 

Be sure the system is playing audio in 3 speaker mode

on the lifestyle® system remote, press settings

press the down arrow to place the > symbol next to "center channel:"

press the right arrow to place the > symbol is next to the number (the volume level)

use the up arrow and down arrow to adjust the volume level

press enter to select, and then exit to leave the menu

Adjusting the center-channel speaker level

To adjust the surround speaker level, follow these steps:

From the system display:

Be sure the system is playing audio in 5 speaker mode

on the lifestyle® system remote, press settings

press the down arrow to place the > symbol next to "surround channel:"

press the right arrow to place the > symbol is next to the number (the volume level)

use the up arrow and down arrow to adjust the surround volume level

press enter to select, and then exit to leave the menu
