Changing remote house code

The switches in the remote allow you to set a "house code" for the remote to communicate with the system. If another nearby Lifestyle® system or RF device is interfering with control of your system, you can set a new house code.

Note: By default, all switches are in the down position.

To change the house code:

Turn the system off

Open the remote control battery cover and locate the miniature switches

Move any of the first four switches up or down, in any combination, using a paper clip, push pin or similar object

Note: The first four switches designate the house code. Do not change any other switches

Replace the battery cover

on the display panel, press and hold the on/off button

On the display panel, press and hold the Mute button. Your current house code will appear on the display panel in the form of four rectangles, which represent the positions of switches 1 through 4

HOUSE CODE: Switches 1 – 4 down = 0 0 0 0 (current house code)

While holding the mute button, press any other button on the remote control. The display panel will show the new house code. This confirms that the system has recognized the new code

NEW HOUSE CODE: (Switch 1 up, 2 down, 3 up, and 4 down = 1 0 1 0)

Release the mute button. The system remains off

If you have additional remote controls in other rooms, change the switches to match those of the first remote control by following steps 2 to 5 above. You do not need to repeat the remaining steps (6 to 8)

Note: To verify your system's house code at any time, press the display panel mute button while the system is off. The display shows the settings of switches 1 through 4.
